She spent the last four years with the North Central Educational Service District, training school staff and parents as well as reviewing migrant education programs in multiple school districts. Prior to that, she helped build the Latino/a Education Achievement Project (LEAP), a program for academic achievement and leadership development for Latino students in Washington.
Bárbara earned a bachelor’s degree and an MPA from the University of Washington. She loves enjoying the beauty of her region, traveling, and eating delicious food—particularly her mom’s.
