Kiana McKenna helps build relationships with communities and drive key learnings for the organization as part of the learning and community engagement team. In addition to identifying opportunities for values-driven engagement, she provides administrative and project support to the Foundation’s community outreach, learning, and evaluation efforts. A graduate of Gonzaga University, Kiana most recently worked at Empire Health Foundation in Spokane as a program coordinator and communications associate, helping to establish collaborative partner relationships, and ensure values alignment and the use of intentional language across communications.
Born and raised in Spokane, Kiana maintains her deep roots in community as an advisory committee member of the Asian Pacific Islander Coalition (APIC) Spokane, participating in the Spokane Coalition of Color, and serving as a board member of the local YWCA chapter. She is also a community organizer with Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities in eastern Washington. When she’s not working, you can find her in community, with her family, which includes her two-year-old rescue pup or outdoors, no matter the weather.
